Circuits and itineraries

The Bassin de Pompey features a host of walking and cycling itineraries for exploring alone, as a couple, with family or friends. You are at the crossroads of major European and national cycling and walking itineraries. Prolong your stay and organise a detour to follow the itineraries the area has to offer, with themes that tell you more about the place.

Hiking trails

There are many hiking trails in the area (172 kilometres in the departmental walking and hiking map), in particular the GR5 route that runs through several towns including Liverdun, Saizerais, Pompey, Marbache, Custines, Malleloy and Faulx. It is also close to the Camino route (linking Luxembourg to Toul) and the GR5 section from Metz to Nancy.

    The Bassin de Pompey has over 40 kilometres of routes specifically developed for you to travel through, explore and discover the area.

    Two major itineraries run through the Bassin de Pompey:
    La Voie Bleue, Moselle-Saône by bike
    La Boucle de la Moselle
    From these two itineraries, the Mauchère and Amezule cycle trails showcase rural valleys with remarkable landscapes.
